I’d love to know your pet’s age, breed, personality and usual routine, including exercise needs, feeding, medication and how long they’re normally comfortable being left alone. Please also tell me about any medical conditions, allergies, reactivity, fears, escape tendencies or other behavioural/safety considerations. For dogs, it’s helpful to know how they behave on lead and around other dogs and people. I also prefer a meet & greet for first-time bookings where possible.
For standard home visits, I’ll spend at least 30 minutes with your pet, including feeding, fresh water, attention, play and any agreed care. Dog walks are generally 30–60 minutes depending on the booking and your dog’s needs. As I run my own business and work remotely, I can also offer extended daytime care by arrangement and can often spend 6–8 hours or longer working from your home while keeping your pet company.
Your pet’s safety comes first. If they become unwell or are injured, I’ll contact you immediately and follow the emergency instructions and veterinary details you’ve provided. If I believe urgent veterinary care is needed and I can’t reach you, I’ll contact your nominated emergency person and/or take your pet to their usual vet or the nearest appropriate emergency vet. I’ll keep you updated throughout and make sure your pet is never left without the care they need
While your request is waiting, cancelling is free — your card is only held. Once Charél accepts: Cancel up to 24 hours before the start for a full refund. Cancel inside 24 hours and 50% is refunded. If Charél cancels, you're always refunded in full.
