I'd like to know their age, breed, temperament, energy levels, any medical conditions or medications, and how they interact with other dogs and people. It's also helpful to know about any fears, triggers or specific walking routines.
I aim to give each pet my full attention for the agreed booking duration. Eg a 30-minute walk, I'll spend around 30 minutes walking, with a little extra time for settling them in, water and making sure they're comfortable.
I'd contact the owner immediately, assess the situation and arrange veterinary attention if needed. In an emergency, I'd prioritise getting the pet to the nearest appropriate vet while keeping the owner updated.
While your request is waiting, cancelling is free — your card is only held. Once DC Walks accepts: Cancel up to 24 hours before the start for a full refund. Cancel inside 24 hours and 50% is refunded. If DC Walks cancels, you're always refunded in full.
