Before looking after your dog, I’d love to know about any medications, medical conditions, allergies or special needs they have. It’s also important to know how they get along with other dogs and people, their energy levels, and whether they prefer a relaxed walk or something more active. I’m very active myself, so I’m happy to go at a gentle pace, enjoy a long walk or even run with dogs who are fit and comfortable doing so!
I want every dog to feel comfortable, happy and cared for while they’re with me. If you book a 30-minute walk, I’ll spend the 30 minutes walking with your dog, plus around 10–15 minutes afterwards helping them settle back in, giving them fresh water and making sure they’re comfortable before I leave. I’m happy to discuss your dog’s individual needs and arrange longer visits if needed
Your pet’s safety and wellbeing are my priority. If your dog became injured or unwell while in my care, I would contact you immediately, keep them as safe and comfortable as possible, and seek urgent veterinary attention if needed. I would follow your instructions and contact your nominated vet or an emergency vet if necessary. I’d also discuss any potential costs with you as soon as possible, rather than assuming you’d want me to cover all veterinary expenses.
