I also have dog experience - while on vacation in Los Angeles, I cared for two golden retrievers at once, one around 30kg and the other 10kg. What I bring: hands-on experience with cats and dogs of all sizes, patience with special routines, attention to behavior changes, and reliability. One more thing: I don't have a pet of my own, on purpose - I travel often and don't want an animal to face that instability. So all my care goes fully into the pets I look after. I don't rush visits - I stay as long as your pet actually needs. On average, that's around an hour per visit, but I always adjust based on what they need that day: a longer walk, extra playtime, more cuddles, or just more time to settle if they're anxious. My goal isn't to check a box 0 it's to make sure your pet feels genuinely cared for before I leave.
Your pet's safety always comes first. If I notice anything unusual, I'll assess the situation right away and contact your vet using the information you've provided. I'll also reach out to you immediately to keep you updated. In a true emergency, if I can't reach you, I'll take your pet to the nearest emergency clinic while continuing to try to contact you. I always ask for a signed authorization in advance so I can act quickly if needed, with your pet's safety as the priority.
