I've got two dogs and a cat at my family home in Kellyville. Moving into an apartment in Pyrmont meant leaving them behind, and I miss them every day. Walking other people's dogs is how I get that part of my life back. I've grown up around animals and I'm the person who stops to greet every dog on the street. Your dog gets a proper walk, real attention, and someone who's genuinely glad to be there rather than just clocking a booking. What do you need to know about a pet before accepting a booking?
The basics: age, breed, and whether they're desexed. Then the practical things — how they are on the lead, whether they pull, and how they react to other dogs, bikes, or kids. I'll want to know about any medical conditions, medication, or allergies, and what their usual routine looks like. If there's anything they're scared of or a behaviour you're working on, tell me — I'd rather know upfront than find out on the street. I also ask for your vet's details and an emergency contact before the first walk.
How much time will you actually spend with my pet each visit?
A 30-minute booking is 30 minutes of walking, not 30 minutes counting travel. Same for an hour. I send a photo and a quick note at the end of each walk so you know where we went and how they were.
What happens if my pet gets sick or hurt while with you?
I call you straight away. If it's minor, I'll check in and follow whatever you want to do. If it's serious or I can't reach you, I take them to your vet — or the nearest emergency vet if yours is closed — and keep calling you on the way.

While your request is waiting, cancelling is free — your card is only held. Once Nik’s Pack accepts: Cancel up to 24 hours before the start for a full refund. Cancel inside 24 hours and 50% is refunded. If Nik’s Pack cancels, you're always refunded in full.
