What do you need to know about a pet before accepting a booking?
🐾 Before Your Pet’s Date To make sure your pet has the safest and happiest experience, I’ll need to know a few things before their first booking: * Pet’s name, age, breed & personality * Any medical conditions, allergies or medications * Feeding, treat & toileting routine * Walking habits, recall & behaviour around other animals * Any fears, triggers or behaviours I should be aware of * Emergency contact & vet details * Any home access instructions for visits * Favourite toys, activities & things that make them happy Most importantly: please let me know anything you think I should know to help keep your pet safe, comfortable and happy during their time with me. 🤍
How much time will you actually spend with my pet each visit?
Your pet’s booking time is dedicated entirely to them. I’ll spend the full booked time providing exercise, attention, play and care based on their individual needs. Whether it’s a 30-minute, 45-minute or 60-minute booking, the focus is on making sure your pet feels happy, comfortable and well looked after from start to finish. 🤍
What happens if my pet gets sick or hurt while with you?
Your pet’s safety is my top priority. If your pet becomes unwell or injured while in my care, I’ll contact you immediately and follow your emergency instructions. If urgent veterinary attention is needed, I’ll take them to your nominated vet or the nearest appropriate emergency vet. Please make sure your pet’s vet details, emergency contact and any relevant medical information are provided before their first booking. For serious emergencies, veterinary treatment will always take priority over waiting for a response.
Where will you take my pet?
I love keeping walks fun and different! I’ll usually take your pup to pet-friendly walking trails around the local area, beaches or other suitable outdoor spots where they can safely explore and enjoy their time out. If you have a favourite walking spot or somewhere your pet already loves, I’m more than happy to take them there too! Your pet’s safety, comfort and enjoyment always come first. 🤍
How many pets are in your care at once?
I prefer to provide one-on-one care so your pet gets my full attention and I can focus on their individual needs, personality and safety. However, if you have siblings or pets from the same household who are comfortable together, I’m happy to care for them at the same time and tailor the booking to suit them. My priority is always making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable and well looked after. 🤍
How and when will you update me during the booking?
I’ll keep you updated throughout your pet’s booking so you know they’re happy, safe and having a great time. During walks or visits, I’ll send you photos and a quick update so you can see what your pet is up to. For longer bookings, I’ll provide updates as needed, and I’m always happy to send you a message if there’s anything important you should know. Your pet’s safety and your peace of mind are my priority!🤍

Cancellation policy

While your request is waiting, cancelling is free — your card is only held. Once The pet date co. accepts: Cancel up to 2 days before the start for a full refund. Cancel inside 2 days and 50% is refunded; inside 24 hours nothing is refunded. If The pet date co. cancels, you're always refunded in full.
