I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life and don’t know what home means without one. I feel incredibly connected to animals and can’t wait for the time in my life where I can rescue one of my own, but in the meantime, I have taken any opportunity to pet sit my friends, families, coworkers, and strangers furry friends whenever I can! What do you need to know about a pet before accepting a booking?
Their likes and dislikes, any triggers or behaviours around people, other animals, in certain environments etc, the language they understand and respond best to, and any health conditions or medications they need.
How much time will you actually spend with my pet each visit?
I’m open to any length of time, depending on each owner and their pets needs, and also factoring in my casual job as a Barista.
What happens if my pet gets sick or hurt while with you?
I would like to ask their owner on our first pet sit/walk date if there have been any incidents in the past, what happened, if they have a local vet the pet is familiar with that they trust, and how they handled it. My first point of contact would be with their owner, and id immediately be on my way to a vet.
