Why does Stripe say "direct debit"?

It's Stripe's standard form. The account you enter is the one your earnings are paid into.

What the authorisation allows. Only that Stripe can recover money if your balance goes negative — for example a refund issued after you've already been paid out.

There is no signup fee. BamChi's 12% commission comes out of completed bookings, never from your bank account.
